Internet Explorer 8 finally catching up Internet Explorer 6 as the most popular browser in the world, with a 22.3 percent increase in January 2010. IE8 only takes ten months to become the leader of the global browser. However, this increase may be attributed to the many people who switched from IE6, after Microsoft acknowledged that IE is weak in several hacker attacks on Google’s system in China.

Currently, both French and German governments advised computer users to download an alternative web browser.
