Small changes can make users more protected, “said Graham Cluley, Senior Technology Consultant from Sophos. Cluley thinks changes in the Facebook privacy rules that suggest that all the Facebook users to share personal information online have a step backwards.

In fact, he said, the number of attacks increased dramatically in the past year shows that social networking Web sites and millions of users to protect themselves. “Otherwise, their identity could be easily stolen by fraud and malware attacks,” he added. Sophos research results found that the amount of spam on social networks soared, as many as 57 percent of respondents received spam on social networking web sites, so many as 36 percent of the respondents who participated in the survey had received the malware from social networking web sites.
